Los Latinos concert on Sunday 29 November

Hot summer days and glorious sunsets pair perfectly with the sultry sound of Latin-American band, Los Latinos, that will be opening the sunset concert series at the Helderberg Nature Reserve on Sunday 29 November 2009.

Best remembered for its long-standing stints at the various Cantina Tequila restaurants dotted across the Cape, the four-piece Cape Town band promises great entertainment while you enjoy a picnic and sundowners at the Reserve.

Headed for many years by lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist Issy Begg, Los Latinos is a household name amongst Latin music lovers in South Africa. The quartet has performed at Spier and Kirstenbosch Gardens and has entertained crowds across the country. High profile corporates, including Sun Coast Casino, Pam Golding, Aïda, Sol Kerzner, Ernst & Young and Fair Lady have also been entertained by them. The group regularly performs at top Cape Town restaurants such as Seaforth (Simonstown), Cape to Cuba (Cape Town), Fiesta Cape Quarter (Green Point), and various V&A Waterfront establishments.
This sophisticated and cosmopolitan band performs with class and passion, and covers a unique blend of music, including lively dance music; softer dance songs, background instrumental and more virtuoso instrumental repertoire.

Please join us on the lawns of our lovely Reserve this Sunday. As in the past the concert starts at 17:30 and tickets will be on sale at the gate for R30 for adults and R10 for scholars. There is no admission fee for children under the age of five. The proceeds of the concerts are used to support environmental education projects at the Reserve.

Do bring your picnic and blankets or chairs and join us.
