The latest edition of the Friends Newsletter – November 2009 is available. It contains information about the upcoming Sunset Concert series, walks in the Reserve, tips on fire prevention as the summer approaches, as well as a delightful story about the hadeda that came to school. The Helderberg Nature Reserve is located in Somerset West.
It is owned and managed by the City of Cape Town with the support of the Friends of the Helderberg Nature Reserve.
The Reserve reaches up as far as the cliff faces. The peaks above the Reserve are managed by Cape Nature.

Members of the Friends of the Helderberg Nature Reserve enter for free with proof of a valid membership card. Become a member of the Friends at the Information Centre.
Early Riser key
To walk in the Reserve before the gate is opened in the morning, become a Friend and buy an Early Riser key at the Information Centre. Please note: The key can only be used by the person who bought it.
